Supporting Neurodivergent People in Personal Finance

Learning disabilities like dyscalculia, dyslexia and dysgraphia can make managing finances and financial literacy difficult for people. Not understanding how to create (and track) a budget, overly relying on family members for help in financial matters, being victims of fraud and not understanding the terms of loans and credit can be real financial challenges for people who have learning disabilities.

Managing Money With ADHD-Friendly Strategies

Many adult ADHDers face problems in their finances because ADHD can affect their executive functioning. Research also suggests that ADHDers tend to use avoidant and spontaneous decision-making styles. This means they either postpone and avoid making financial decisions or make them on a whim. The next step is to learn and practice implementing different money management strategies. With effort and time, you can regain control over your finances and save for a secure future.
